During this workshop, we explain
1. the chemical difference of various chelating agents
2. What factors influence metal binding
3. why it is important to select a metal-specific chelator and not always use the same chelating agent with the same routine
4. We also explain why combination treatments i.e. combining and delivering two or more chelating agents at one session is not a good choice
5. why more of a substance (i.e. 2gr of EDTA does not necessarily achieve more metal binding and excretion. Or why it is not more effective to use 1000mg of DMSA rather than 500mg. Or why we should not use more than 1 ampule of DMPS
6. Proper protocols are discussed in detail.
7. We present statistical data to prove our teachings
We like to point out that we do not prefer one type of chelator over others. We provide unbiased information.
