A case study using the Virtual Team Assessor

Increasingly experts from different countries and locations are brought together to form a virtual team to work on a specific project. Coming from different fields and cultures, they all aim to meet their deadlines and deliver quality while keeping an eye on the budget.

In practical terms, this means that the team members will work from their locations and meet at particular times through communication media. Leading a virtual team can be even more difficult because of a work environment where interpersonal tasks are less visible.

This eSeminar will introduce you to VTMM Virtual Team Maturity Model, an approach of systematic virtual team development. It focuses on processes that create a comprehensive framework for organized collaboration, with special emphasis on the challenges of virtual teamwork.

Using a case study we will illustrate how to assess the performance of a virtual team, evaluate its maturity level and identify recommendations for improvement. Together we will look at the actual changes a virtual team had implemented after the assessment and their effect on the performance and maturity of the team.
