The concept of Shen in Chinese medicine psychology

The basic concept, the generation and the function of shen are the topic of this course. According to Chinese medicine theory, the zang fu organs are filled with substances such as qi and blood. By the regulation of the viscera qi and its subtle material metabolism, life activities are generated. A colorful face, expressions in one's eyes, speaking, manners, spirit, mood, and the pulse condition are all expressions of the external embodiment of life which is called Shen in Chinese medicine psychology.
