Our history It all began in early 2010 with an outstanding idea – A lot has happened since then!

In early January 2010, Torsten Kämper had a brilliant idea: to bring teachers, trainers and inquisitive minds together on a web-based platform and support the virtual exchange of knowledge – that was the approach. This idea was the inspiration for establishing the edudip GmbH in Aachen, Germany.

After doing some research and getting input from many trainers and instructors, we discovered that planning and implementing webinars had been very complicated and expensive up to that point. We wanted to do things differently: namely, to make it simple.

New integrated meeting function

The new integrated meeting function of edudip next enables online meetings in the simplest and fastest way with just a few clicks. From now on, video conferences can be held easy, productive and secure with up to 25 meeting participants in order to network teams regardless of location and with the best audio and video quality.

Expansion of our IT infrastructure

In response to the increase in customers at the beginning of the corona pandemic, our IT infrastructure was completely revised. In addition, the server capacities were expanded in order to cope with the growing number of users and to ensure a continued stable webinar experience.

Dawn of a new era

Starting now, edudip is pursuing a new focused direction and concentrating solely on its core competence, the development of the software. The corporate identity was also revised, and the company is now showcased in new colours and a contemporary design.

With edudip next, edudip has developed a new product that is based on the latest WebRTC and HTML5 technologies and runs completely without Adobe Flash.

For the third time now, we were present at Europe’s leading trade fair for digital education and introduced the new edudip next webinar software to trade visitors from all over the world.

Funding by the ministry of innovation, research and technology

The ministry of innovation, science and research of the German federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia supported us with funding, and we also welcomed Bodo, our innovation assistant!

Awarded the Comenius EduMedia Siegel

On 24 June 2011, edudip GmbH received the Comenius EduMedia Seal in Berlin. The seal is an award conferred by the Gesellschaft für Pädagogik und Informationen (Association for the Education and Information / GPI) and has been awarded since 1995 for educational multimedia products or Euro-cultural educational media.
