Gaetano Cammilleri (Kang Ming-Li 康明立), Doctor of Medicine, Clinical Foundation of TCM (Zhejiang Medical University, Hangzhou, China) Heilpraktiker is Practitioner in Chinese Medicine and Sports since 2000 and leads an own office in Karlsruhe, Germany. He is an expert in Chinese Medicine, classical acupuncture, Chinese Medicine pharmacology, internal medicine and sport medicine. Besides his work as a practitioner, he regularly teaches Western Medicine, naturopathy and Chinese Medicine.
During his studies of Chinese Medicine he intensified his experience in Western Medicine by several trainings-on-the-job in hospitals and medical offices. He gained vast experience in the areas of Inner Medicine, Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics, Geriatrics, Otorhinolaryngology, Dermatology and Allergology. He consolidated his knowledge in Emergency Medical Services where he still works as a trainer.
After 9 years of studies, Gaetano Cammilleri is one of the first and youngest to graduate as Master in Chinese Medicine in a European University (2008). From 2008 until 2012 he performed an extra training in Classical Chinese Medicine in the Institute of Classics in East Asian Medicine, Frankfurt, with focus on „ Treatise on Cold Damage Diseases ( (Shang-Han-Lun)“ and „Prescriptions from the Golden Chamber (Jing-Gui Yao-Lue)“. 2012 he graduated as an „Diplomate in Canonical Chinese Medicine“. In the Institute of Podo-Orthesiologie he did more training on podo-orthesiology and Chiropractic/parietal therapy, all of them to be applied on the locomotor system. In cooperation with Barmer health insurance he gives talks about „Prevention in Chinese Medicine“. They were broadcasted in German television.
After 13 years of studies Gaetano Cammilleri receives a doctor’s degree with summa cum laude and receives the title of Doctor of Medicine in Clinical Foundation of TCM, which he performed at Zhejiang Medical University (ZJCMU), Hangzhou, China.

Since 1996 Gaeano Cammilleri pays special interest on the teaching of Classical Chinese Medicine with a focus on Inner Medicine. He concentrates mainly on the “Treatise on Cold Damage Diseases (Shang-Han-Lun)“ and the „ Prescriptions from the Golden Chamber (Jing-Gui-Yao-Lue)“. Another focus is on the research and translation about the Bronze Statue (Tong-Ren Zheng-Jiu) and the importance of anatomy in the practice of acupuncture in China. Gaetano Cammilleri states that standards developed since the 11th century contribute to today’s diagnostic methods and promote the profound understanding of acupuncture during its application.
